Please be sure to read the entire description. This is a Fender Concert amplifier from 1983. These are the amazing hand-wired amps designed by Paul Rivera in the early '80s and are very coveted. You can read about the story of these amps online. The reissues from the '90s are not hand-wired and definitely not the same amp. I am really only selling because I am downsizing in my studio space. These are incredible sounding amps with plenty of power for any gig. It is a 60-watt combo with a 12" Fender/Electro-Voice speaker. This does have the original speaker. It also has the original footswitch, which works perfectly. The clean sound on this is incredible with great Fender reverb. Takes pedals like a champ and sounds amazing with a little overdrive or a great tremolo pedal. Or if you are looking for that sweet '80s chorus sound, it handles that beautifully too.

This is a channel switching amp and it is known for the clean channel being unbeatable. The dirty channel seems to get mixed reviews, but what most people say is that they never use the dirty channel. They keep it on the clean channel and use pedals. So...this is the important thing to tell you about this amp (and explains the low price): there is something not right about the dirty channel on this amp. I don't know what it is...I have never taken it in to get it fixed. Because I never use the dirty channel and never will...like most people. I only use the clean channel and there are no issues at all with the clean channel. SO, that's why I have priced this amp at only $450 rather than the $725 they seem to be going for on Reverb. I want to leave a little room for you to get it serviced if you desire. Again, the clean channel works perfectly with no issues and that is probably the only channel you will use, but I want to make sure you know the deal on this amp. I have played many gigs with it. I have recorded with it. I have never had a problem.

So, having said all that, the amp is in Carlsbad, CA. I will not ship it. If you are local and serious you are welcome to play it and see what you think. It's a pretty heavy amp and so casters were added at some point. I bought this amp a few years back from the original owner. It had a really ripped up grill cloth. I replaced the grill cloth very carefully with exact authentic Fender replacement grill. It is perfectly period correct. No rips or tears in the black tolex. I also replaced the top chrome chassis strips. They were looking a little rough. This amp is now 35-years old, so it does not look perfectly brand new, but overall it is in great shape. And did I mention the sound? Incredible. Inquire.
