This multi-media art sculpture piece was created by me, Jaimie Muehlhausen, for my 2013 art show “Attack of the Fez Men” at the Craftlab Gallery in Oceanside, CA. There were 55 paintings (which all sold!) and this one 3-dimensional piece that was created to gather emails in the reception area of the gallery. It is called the “Wish Box” because people would fill out a form with their name and email address and then write a wish they would submit to the Fez Baby. At the end of the opening night, a name was drawn from the box and a winner was awarded a painting from the show. So, Fez Baby Wish Box has been in my studio this entire time since the show closed, holding court over in the corner. But now he can be yours! I should point out that the small fez on his head was hand-sewn by Lenore Hawk-Dale, the sister of Tony Hawk! The water decal on the front of the mahogany box is from the 1960s. This sculpture stands approximately 22” tall. The baby is removable from the box for shipping. When reassembled, just be careful not to knock Fez Baby off his box! You can use it as a wish box or anything else. Price includes shipping!
