It’s a wrap!

It’s crazy that we’ve already made it to the end of the year. This has been one of those years that both flies by and takes forever all at the same time. I have managed to keep politics out of my newsletters, so let’s just say it’s been an exhausting year in many ways. And yet there have also been some great successes and fun times. At least here at Vibrosonic World Headquarters. New clients, fun projects, old dead projects brought back to life, and my 23rd year of being involved with Tony Hawk Inc.

One thing that is looming large in our household this week is my daughter Stella graduating from Cal State University at San Marcos with a degree in Mathematics. And, graduating summa cum laude I might add. Nothing but A’s from kindergarten through college. I’m incredibly proud, but also still somewhat confused how this graphic designer/artist/writer/musician was somehow involved in producing a mathematician.

One of my great new clients this year has been Lotus Concepts Management in Denver, Colorado. Lotus owns and operates a few different restaurant brands, but I have mainly focused on their great sports and family focused restaurants called Viewhouse. I’ve been working on everything from branding to promotions to buses and billboards and much more. Really great crew there who just seem to get it and are doing a fantastic job all over the Denver metropolitan area. If you are around Denver lately, you’ll probably see billboards, trains and buses that I designed. Here are a few things to check out, with much, much more to come in 2026.

Music stuff. I took a long break from playing live music gigs after Covid, but now I’m back at it and having a blast doing it. In November I played my first show at Coomber Craft Wines in Vista, CA and it was so much fun. Had a great crowd turnout and got to sing my songs and tell my stories and it was a great night by all accounts. And it rained. And I also had the pleasure of playing music at the Wyland Foundation Annual Gala headed up by the famous whale artist Wyland. I wasn’t sure what to expect, but it turned out to be a very fun gig, with some incredibly nice and supportive people who were also there to support the foundation. A really great night. Plus, I got to hang out with my old friend and coworker Melissa who worked on the incredible staff at Surfer Publications back in the ‘90s, and now works with the Wyland Foundation doing great things!

We had so much fun at Coomber Craft Wines that they have asked me back to play again in January and February. Both gigs are on Thursday nights, and it would be amazing to see you there! Coomber has really great craft wines and an intimate bar area, as well as an expansive back patio for you to bring your dog and spread out. And it’s right in the heart of the totally revitalized downtown Vista main street. See you January 22nd and February 26th! You can also pick up a limited edition Best of the Murderers of Love CD at the shows. Because who doesn’t love CDs?
